Needle Felting

I came across these artworks and was inspired. http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/glendafelt.html An email to my younger daughter resulted in the arrival a couple of weeks later of a bag of Merino tops and a handful of felting needles. I'm still experimenting with transferring images to cloth, but a "Touchy-Feelly" theme for a swap led me to using sari silk fibres needlefelted down onto a felt backing.







"Sam Snail" is just felted.







"Fantasy Flower" has additional stitching with a shiny space-dyed-with-felt-tips rayon, and beaded stamens.
